Peg Carrothers, whose natural voice is unforgettable once you hear it, has released a reissue of her 2001 vocal masterpiece “Blue Skies” from Terashima Records! The song “Poor Butterfly” from this album was included in the vocal compilation “For Jazz Vocal Fans Only Vol. 6” released in 2023. On that occasion, Yasukuni Terashima commented on her singing voice, “The high range of her voice is uncommonly beautiful. If she sang any higher, she would go bankrupt.“ Peg's vocal ability as a vocalist, of course, makes you feel that a B-class standard is such a good song, and her husband, Bill Carrothers, plays the piano. The piano trio's performance, which is transparent, lustrous, mysterious, and perfect for her songs, combined to make this a hidden masterpiece.
