1991年にジェニー・メディン(Vo)、ヨルゲン・ヴァルンストロム(G)、ペール・ヴァルシンガー(B)、ヘンリック・スンドクヴィスト(G/Key)、ペール・ビストロム(Dr)により、スウェーデンのリンチェピングで結成。92年に1stEP『La La La』でデビュー。日本では95年に発売された1stアルバム『クラウドベリー・ジャム』が好評を博し、翌96年に発表した2nd『雰囲気づくり』で10万枚以上売れてブレイク。特に95年の「エレベーター」、96年の「ナッシング・トゥ・デクレア」がヒットし、当時カーディガンズとともにスウェディッシュ・ポップ・ブームの一翼を担った。98年に一度解散したが、2004年に新体制で復活。これまでに13枚のEP・アルバムを発表。2025年に東京と大阪で開催された『SWEDISH POP CARNIVAL』にカーディガンズ、メイヤと共に出演しその人気ぶりをアピールした。

Formed in 1991 in Linköping, Sweden, by Jennie Medin (vocals), Jörgen Wärnström (guitar), Per Valsinger (bass), Henrik Sundqvist (guitar/keyboards) and Per Bystrom (drums). They made their debut in 1992 with their first EP, "La La La". In Japan, their first album "Cloudberry Jam", released in 1995, was well received, and they made their breakout with their second album "Providing the atmosphere", released the following year in 1996, which sold over 100,000 copies. In particular, "Elevator" from 1995 and "Nothing to Declare" from 1996 were hits, and alongside The Cardigans, they played a key role in the Swedish pop boom of the time. Although the band disbanded briefly in 1998, they reformed with a new line-up in 2004. To date, they have released 13 EPs and albums. In 2025, they performed alongside The Cardigans and Meja at the "SWEDISH POP CARNIVAL" held in Tokyo and Osaka, demonstrating their enduring popularity.
